I am hard of hearing, but lip-read very well, was so nervous to attend after 2 years absence. Hikabanu the dentist and Ashlee the dental nurse made me very relax, and welcome. The dental nurse Ashlee was telling me what the dentist was doing, and what the dentist was saying as she was wearing a mask. I have 2 more appointments to attend but I will not be nervous the next time round. If you are nervous dont be, they are a friendly team, the receptionist was lovely too. I have recently had two visits to be treated by A LOVELY Dentist called Hikabanu and her very efficient and informative Dental Nurse by the name of Ashlee. I wld highly recommend this dental practice. They accepted me at short notice for an emergency appt. At this appointment I found both Dentist Hikabanu & Nurse Ashlee to have a very relaxing and comforting manner. Upon my follow up, although nervous, I felt confident I was in good hands. This review is in regard to Dr Haitham. I have had several dentist whilst being a patient at John Holmes Dental Surgery, and Dr Haitham is my latest. Then dentist before him completed a filling in a difficult position (well I think so) and sadly,  it failed within a short period.
I started experiencing pain in what appeared to be an interdental space between a crown and the back tooth. I booked an appointment for about 10 days later. When I saw Dr Haitham he X-rayed the area. He discovered that the filling had failed and a wisdom tooth (I didn't know I had) was pushing on the roots. The tooth had to be extracted. Due to it coming up to the Festive Season, he recommended it be removed ASAP. An appointment was made next day for the extraction after  he jiggled his schedule. The extraction process was painless apart from the injection in the roof of the mouth. And strange seeing all these tools going into the mouth and not feeling anything except pressure.  I thought he broke the tooth and then he asked me to bite down on some wadding. As I did that he showed me the tooth with the cause easily visible. There was a small piece of root snapped off but present. It is five days since the extraction and have suffered  no pain thus this review. Thank you Dr Haitham.
